Yin Yulong, Chief Technical Advisor of Tanke, is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chief Researcher at the Institute of Subtropical Agriculture Ecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Doctoral and Postdoctoral Supervisor. He studied and worked at the Institute of Animal Nutrition of the German National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (1985-1987), Queen's University Belfast, UK, and the University of Guelph, Canada (1994-1999), earning a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Queen's University Belfast.He currently holds several key positions, including Honorary Vice Chairman of the Ministry of Agriculture's Animal Nutrition Laboratory Group, Director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Livestock and Poultry Pollution Control and Resource Utilization Technology, Chairman of the Chinese Association of Agricultural Science Societies' Trace Elements and Food Chain Branch, Vice Chairman of the National New Feed Evaluation Committee, Vice President of the China Feed Industry Association, Chairman of the National Pig Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, Vice Chairman of the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Association, and Standing Committee Member of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.Prof. Yin has received numerous honors, such as the National May 1st Labor Medal, Outstanding Member of the Jiusan Society, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Award for Innovative Culture, and Outstanding Communist Party Member.He has long been engaged in research on healthy breeding of livestock and poultry and environmental control, having led over 30 scientific research projects at institutional, provincial, national, and international levels. His remarkable achievements include pioneering green breeding technologies, efficient utilization of unconventional feed materials, and waste reduction in breeding processes. Under his leadership, his team has published more than 300 SCI-indexed papers, cited over 9,000 times (including over 6,000 citations in top-tier international journals such as Science, Nature, Cell, and PNAS), achieving an H-index of 52. He was selected as a Global Highly Cited Researcher by Thomson Reuters in 2014 and 2015 and received the Chinese Citation Laureate Award. He has also edited eight Chinese and English academic monographs.As the primary contributor, he has received three National Science and Technology Progress Awards and one National Natural Science Award. In 2017, he was awarded the Hunan Provincial Highest Science and Technology Award and named "Chinese Science Person of the Year." In 2014, he received the World Animal Nutrition Award at the World Nutrition Forum in Munich, Germany, and in 2018, the Asia-Pacific Nutrition Award (APNA) at the 14th International Symposium on Digestive Physiology of Pigs in Brisbane, Australia.
